Temporary Diversion of Public Footpath 214 – Little Crow, Scunthorpe

Notice is given that North Lincolnshire Council Public Footpath 214 will be temporarily diverted in connection with construction works at Little Crow Solar Park, located north-west of the village of Broughton and directly to the east of the British Steelworks at Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire.

The temporary diversion is required to ensure public safety during construction and decommissioning works and has been submitted in accordance with Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.

During the diversion period, Public Footpath 214 will be rerouted to follow existing field boundaries around the southern edge of the site, running along the west, south and eastern boundaries. The diverted route will be clearly signposted at all access points and maintained to ensure it remains safe and accessible for pedestrians.

The diversion will come into effect from Thursday 5th March 2026 and will remain in place for the duration of the works. The end date of the diversion will be Friday 31st December 2027. Upon completion, the footpath will be reinstated on its original alignment.
